SGS Vostok Limited is the Russian subsidiary of SGS S.A. and member of SGS Group, the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company. Founded in 1878, SGS is recognized as the global benchmark for quality and integrity. With more than 55,000 employees, SGS operates a network of over 1,000 offices and laboratories around the world with headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.

Operating in Russia since January 1981, today we employ a staff of 2,000 people at our Moscow headquarters and the various Russian branch offices and laboratories.

Our Services

As part of the worldwide group, SGS Vostok Limited offers a unique proposition of local solutions and global services within the various sectors of economy.

The core services offered by SGS Vostok Limited can be divided into four categories:

  • Inspection Services. SGS inspects and verifies the quantity, weight and quality of traded goods. Inspection typically takes place at the manufacturer’s/supplier’s premises or at time of loading or at destination during discharge/off-loading.
  • Testing Services. SGS tests product quality and performance against various health, safety and regulatory standards. SGS operates state of the art laboratories on or close to customers' premises.
  • Certification Services. SGS certifies that products, systems or services meet the requirements of standards set by governments (e.g. GOST R), standardization bodies (e.g. ISO 9000) or by SGS customers. SGS also develops and certifies its own standards.
  • Staffing Services. Recruitment and leasing of personnel for various industries.

Accreditations, Licenses and Laboratories

SGS is a competent member of International Technical Committees, ISO, ASTM, IFIA and etc.
SGS holds a number of accreditations for management systems certification, including the following:

  • 40 accreditations for ISO 9001, including: UKAS (UK), DAR (Germany), SAS (Switzerland), COFRAC (France), ANAB (USA), JAB (Japan) and others

  • 27 accreditations for ISO 14001, including: UKAS (UK), DAR (Germany), SAS (Switzerland), COFRAC (France), ANAB (USA), JAB (Japan) and others

SGS Vostok Limited has been accredited / licensed with the following scope:

Own SGS Vostok Limited technical facilities comprise 26 permanent laboratories in 21 cities of Russia, as well as mobile labs that move around the country by request from customers. Those laboratories are specialized on analyzing minerals, oil/petroleum, agricultural products, equipment, consumer goods. Special software enables issuance of E-certificates and the quickest data delivery.
